Re: Got a Hummer last night....
Congrats and welcome...
By the looks of the nerf bars, this rig has been off road already, to me.
See how they are jammed up and back towards the rear? Or is that just the way the photo was taken?
Never less, its a nice rig and you folks should be pleased...

Re: Got a Hummer last night....
Yea, I noticed this when we test drove it. Upon further inspection I found the nerf bar to be loose and in fact it was sagging down in the front as shown in the picture. I told my sales guy about it and he is supposed to have it fixed. We'll see tomorrow afternoon when we pick it up.

Re: Got a Hummer last night....
Good News!!! I picked her up this evening and drove her home. What a sweet truck!! Got plenty of looks from everyone on the drive home. Ok, one problem, I'm getting that wind noise everyone was talking about, think it was the A-pillar trim that was not fitting right and letting the wind get under it and making a cracking noise just above the drivers head.??? Can anyone confirm this?? Is there a fix??
Also I thought this was funny, when I picked it up they were in the process of cleaning it up, well, I find this nice surface scratch on the hood, not down to the primer but still looked bad. Must have been about 6 inches long. So I tell the detail guy to try and get it out. Well of course he says he can't, and come to find out he is not the body guy who normally does the scratch removal and what not, he just washes the vehicles. So I go back into my finance guy and tell him I need a WE OWE form for the scratch, this guy "Jackass" tells me "well, it is a used vehicle, demo and there are going to be scratches in it". I say so what are you going to do about it, I mean this truck has 300 miles on it?? He says, " well, we can give you a backpack with a T-shirt as a gift and call it even". I say what??? No, you are going to fix the scratch, if I wanted some stupid backpack or t-shirt I can go over to parts and buy it. Boy was I pissed!!! Well, long story short, the sales manager gave me a voucher to have it fixed at a detail shop close to my house. He said that finance guy should have never tried to offer me some crappy gift just to make me feel better.
All in all I'm happy, my wife is happy and we are now proud Hummer parents!!!
Sorry so long guys.....
Chris
Ps: Anyone going to Windrock this week, think it is in TN???
