People who are against these machines tend to pick out the ones that are modified over the edge in thier opinion.

Here is a picture of his H3. It doesn't seem to be modified at all. Certainly no chrome Hummer logo on the windshield to provoke any rage.

Before I got the chance to ride in and drive a H2, espically off-road....I too would tell my friends that are owners "its just a tahoe with 35" tires". Shame on me. Now I know. What really proved it to me was that big snow storm here in CO. Myself and my Fiance drove from Greeley to Lousville in that storm, and were one of the only vehicles not stuck. I did manage to get stuck once but it was due to me going somewhere I shouldnt have and the front mounted winch got me out.

What an amazing vehicle. I felt safe in that storm. What a Vehicle that in stock form I was able to get through that storm! Hummer!!!!

John,

H3 owners get the same crap from the uninformed public. I've had so many people tell me that my H3 is just a Chevy Colorado with 33" tires. I love to prove them wrong. I took my inlaws to a nearby hill that is so rocky and steep that only ATVs use it. After locking my H3 in low and engaging the locker, we effortlessly crawled to the top. About a week after I bought my H3 last November, we got hit with a huge snow storm. They didn't plow our street for several days. My H3 was one of the few vehicles still moving. You should have seen the looks of awe I got from the minivan owners that couldn't get traction or were stuck on snow banks. After driving our H3 in the snow, my wife was instantly convinced that we made the right decision to by a Hummer. It's the safest, most sure-footed vehicle I've every driven in the snow. Even my old Chevy pickup with chains on all 4 are no match for the Hummer.
