Retired AirForce 20 years enlisted. My last 9 were working in the hospital. And I don't miss it at all. Didn't help I refused to play their politics and there was always some some clown who was offended when you told them the truth. Estpecialy when it was something they didn't want to hear.
I also don't miss the words "well just make it work".
Damn I'm glad that part of my life is over. Don't get me wrong I worked for some great people but the bad ones over shadowed the good.

Sorry your experience sucked. There are those type people, not only in the military, but also in the civilian sector as well. I don't regret the AF, I was Army 7 years. It is a bit different though going from enlisted to officer. However, as easy as being on the "officer side of the house" seems, it is alot of admin crap and alot of taking responsibility when crap goes wrong...that you had no idea about in the first place. Anyway, I love my job, the avenues for advancement, and the people I work for and with. But, as bad as things may have seemed, I do appreciate your service, b/c if it wasn't for people like yourself, our country would not be able to sustain itself. Thanks....Jamie
