Perhaps one could fabricate a black "plastic wedge" as an "H3 hood adapter"?

This would be an easy solution if you had some plastic lying around to fit nicely. Or if you have a belt sander and a lot of paitence, you might try shaving down the back side of the front pad. I don't know how thick the casting is though, or even if it may be solid?Quote:

Also, Home Depot has plastic "wedges" commonly used for laminate floor installations that might work here.
