Re: buying 07 H2, please help
I'm also looking at purchasing a H2 SUT. It's funny, some dealers tell you they are not discounting the 07's at all and some are willing to negotiate. You really have to do you're homework before buying one of these. On a side note, I just checked www.carsdirect.com, and they are selling 07 SUT's at about $8k off MSRP.

Re: buying 07 H2, please help
Thanks for all the tips.
I dont think an 08 would be better for us, as we will put around 30k miles a year on it. It is for a salesperson's incentive program, so I expect more than average wear and tear. Also, the last thing my sales force needs is more HP.

Re: buying 07 H2, please help
when the 08's are out and the 09's are out, the 07's left in inventory still cost the dealer the same amount of money...they would sell them at 0 profit, but very few dealers sell cars for a loss....sorry, thats just the way it is...........

Re: buying 07 H2, please help
yes they will sell them at a loss ,if they have to . most dealers are Floor planing thier inventory and as such it cost them money to let them sit on the lot every month. also you are forgetting the DEALER Holdback money . GM will give the dealer any where from $700.00 to $1600.00 (on high line vehicles) in hold back money for every vehicle they sell . so when they tell you you bought at dealer cost ,guess again. just for your information new car dealers make a killing on the parts and service and in most cases they do real well on the trades too. in fact most new car dealers can sell at verry short margins because the parts and service will carry the whole opperation . been there done that ,now a used car lot is a whole differant ball game.
