I've seen the same thing with chrome, but I also have a friend with those Rockstar wheels and they look like $hit from mud stains. Yeah, you can rattle-can them, but whether rattle-canned black looks better than stained chrome is a subjective matter. And you're right about the scratches, but we were talking about stains.
