I have read many articles by authors despising the H2 but to be honest, I have never read anything more arrogant and complete rubbish as your article. Why is it *******s like you have such despise for the H2. It simply can't be because it gets 10-12 miles to the gallon, can it? If so, why aren't you on such a warpath with every Expedition, Excursion, Dodge 3500 and Ford F250 owner? Those vehicles get similiar gas mileage but I don't see you going on a rampage about them.

The pruis costs more to develop, manufacture and dispose of during it's lifetime than any H2 ever will. Have you ever seen the land destruction cause by blasting to mine uranium for the batteries? The land is barren and dead longer than you or I will ever be alive.

I understand you're from the ever so liberal state of California but please get your head out of your ass.

BTW, Prius, not Pruis, batteries contain Zinc, not Uranium.

The POS, overrated car is horrible for the environment and most people think driving them on the highway is the best use for them. It's not. In town NY City style driving is the best use for that environmentally unsound vehicle.

Speaking of Hummers, perhaps it is environmentally responsible to buy one and squash a Prius with it. The Prius hybrid is, of course, fuel-efficient. There are, however, environmental costs to mining and smelting (in Canada) 1,000 tons a year of zinc for the battery-powered second motor, and the shipping of the zinc 10,000 miles -- trailing a cloud of carbon dioxide -- to Wales for refining and then to China for turning it into the component that is then sent to a battery factory in Japan.

Opinions differ as to whether acid rain from the Canadian mining and smelting operation is killing vegetation that once absorbed carbon dioxide. But a report from CNW Marketing Research ("Dust to Dust: The Energy Cost of New Vehicles from Concept to Disposal") concludes that in "dollars per lifetime mile," a Prius (expected life: 109,000 miles) costs $3.25, compared with $1.95 for a Hummer H3 (expected life: 207,000 miles).

Oh yeah, there's a lot of nickel in the Prius, also.
