Default Re: battery not charging?

the shop that did the work has been nothing but trouble. I have had it on this truck for three years. It took about 4-5 alarms before one would some what work. On the remote start any time you use it it says driver door ajar in the dash when you put the key in to go even though it is not open. I learned to live with that. I also have the magna charger but I dont think that is the problem. The problem started last week on a camping trip. The truck made a weird noise from the speaker in the drivers door then wouldnt start. We jumped it and figured the batt was old. Truck ran fine for another 300 miles/ 5 days or so then on my way home it said battery not charging but seemed fine. I though the batt was done and would just change it. Well on my way to change it the next day it had the same message but was freaking out that same noise was coming from the driver speaker and if I hit a window switch it got worse. I lost all power to dash, windows, brake lights etc. The truck drove for a few minutes and died in front of the batt place. I got a new batt and dropped it in and same thing it went dead. So we thought it had to be the alt and put that in and same exact problem. I ahev ripped the truck apart checking fuses etc and can not find the problem anywhere.

At the alt connector test gray wire with A voltmeter to ground key on engine not running, should be around 10v.

If you get A shop to diagnose the problem and it turns out to be a bad remote start install that caused a failure then you have something to go on. Diagnose it yourself and they will basically tell ya to get bent. Either way good luck and if ya need any more info feel free to ask.
