Re: Front Tires go Ugh, Rear Tires go Ugh, Transfer Case go Ka-Boom
hummer replaced my transfer case on my old 03 h2 after getting stuck in a small river. long story short they sent 3 tow trucks out to me which they couldnt even get to me because it was so muddy out, finally one tow truck reached me with 150 yard winch and metal chains on it. Although they got me out I agreed to try and help get them unstuck and while trying to pull out one of the tow truck my transfer case broke. Hummer replaced it under warranty. Good luck hope they do the same for you.

pteam: Thats Awesome! Funny story! My funnyest was when I pulled out a prius from a ditch in a snow storm. Pulling out tow trucks that came to get you out is awesome!

Re: Front Tires go Ugh, Rear Tires go Ugh, Transfer Case go Ka-Boom
Update:
The service rep not only treated me like a king, he said late yesterday that there would be no problem replacing the t-case. He said it falls under "normal offroading". I like that... "normal offroading"... Never heard that from the Chevy dealer!!!
They said that the t-case would be here today and the truck finished asap.
BTW, I did get the extended warranty!! Obviously a good buy!
I will keep everyone updated!!

You using the Dallas or Plano store?
If it's Dallas, Jay and Byron will take care of ya....
At least that has been my experience and is why this is the second Hummer
I've bought from them in the past two years.

I'm glad they are fixing your T-case.
Why should a T-case fail under "normal off roading" is my question

Re: Front Tires go Ugh, Rear Tires go Ugh, Transfer Case go Ka-Boom
I wonder if they would have replaced the transfer case if you had a supercharger?
(Thinking about this as I was pulling stumps out of my yard with the H2 yesterday)

Re: Front Tires go Ugh, Rear Tires go Ugh, Transfer Case go Ka-Boom
I wish I had snapped pics. It was quite impressive. Unfortunately I was offroad and it was dark before I got the truck on the flatbed. It was lucky I wasn't farther back off the road. Those tows get really pricy.
As it was I ended up shelling out $160 for the tow. Of course the truck was towed 40 miles to the dealership. I don't think that's too awful for that distance...
As for the supercharger question... I don't know. I am going to avoid a supercharger like the plague... If you want that kind of power offroad, build a offroad-only vehicle. I think that the H2 would has too many points that would break under that kind of power....
