The purpose is to make money off people.

Is that the way this site is? Or are we a bunch of people trying to get the most out of our rigs/potential rigs?

If you do not have something beneficial to say then save it. You don't have to be a Richard!

Not being a Dick here, but if your worried about costs, which your post complained about, then why try to re-invent the wheel?

Plenty of posts to help you, but why worry about Costs?

My focus was finding a Fast back. I found one. THe price was OUTRAGEOUS. They have the right to charge it but I have the right to note that it is overpriced in my opinion. I have the money and will spend it, but just because they are the only game I know of, does not mean I will bend over and take it. I will find someone else. In order to find someone else, I will go and ask people who know. I just did not expect the tired old line of "these things are expensive and if you don't want to pay the money then buy a jeep." Just because they have the right to charge what they want, does not mean I can not say damn that is steep. My panties are probably in a wad because my Longhorns suck.

Keep in mind it is to look like the H1. I think the top includes includes shipping cost which for te weight may be rough on cost. It is I believe the prototype and first one sold but, maybe not by now.

The window is most likely an easy fix at home or they may be able to make adjustments when it is built. I do not believe the fiberglass is the answer yet. Injection molding would be nice which I have been talking to a guy that made a fortune in the business. It appears the cost of just the molds even if another company took care of the making is just to cost prohibitive. i almost dropped the phone when given the numbers.

I did forget that there is a Forum Bud that is already made one in aluminium looking at build time etc. to see if it could work on a time frame to go retail with it. I think and almost sure it was without windows on the side. Black was to be the main color and i asked him to look at powder coating black or maybe a few color choices. I think black would fit most needs as black is all over most H2's.

Well I will see if i can fin out more.

I think it would look cooler without the side windows. I would get one but without interior lighting I could see giving 3500-4000 for it but man

Without trying to sound like a dick, yes, that's the way it is. Thin skin doesn't last long here.

Thanks fellas. I am thinking hard about buying one. I contacted Gstyle and they said they may be able to remove the windows. For tax purposes, I am going to have my dealer order me a Blaze SUT for January 1. I am going to throw a 6" Fab tech with 22's and 40" tires. I am building it that way not to look pretty but to look tough. Then it will get it's beauty marks in the Woods. I freaking love to hunt and my rigs love it too. I dont cry over the scuffs, otherwise I am just setting myself up for crying eventually because scratches and dents happen. Especially with all of these undercover French people we have running around this country. Thanks for the top links. I am not looking for a vinyl one and I do like the proto type pic. I just think he should raise the rear 3-4" before beginning the slant. Looks good though.

I need all of the help I can get. (The wheels will have very little bling)

My buddy has 22's and it looks sweet. I am not sure on the ride though. With 40's the tires still have a lot of side wall. I may scale back to 20's.

If you not afraid to have a bunch of snaps installed around the perimeter of the bed, you could get a custom canvas cover made at a boat canvas shop. My Mazda pickup is set up that way and it works well.

Hey Congrat's on getting the new ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not go over 20" rims but, there are real off-roaders here that can sway the vote the true direction. I think most of them stay 18" most of the time. If it is mud and water the 22" may work good. If it is Moab rocks hills that kind of thing the friends I have on the forum do not go big rims even though they go huge tires. Need the flex in tires plus airing down. The larger centers in the rims is just really a leverage deal where unless steel they may break out. Keep in mind what I'm sharing is from talks with Forum Buds. My H2 has about $100,000.00 in it between me and sponsors. It spends most of it's time out of the showroom at the shop in beauty contests or shop skill contests. I promise if anyone see's it in person you will admire the shop skill in this ride. It will be converted some day to lifts bigger tires on my 20" and get dirty as well as scratched up. It would be wrong to never let a Hummer see mud, rocks, and get roughed up some. I am really an off-roader at heart and who knows I may get my rig to Moab some day. I know I'm going soon as I got good offers with people like tower to just show up relax and see the sites. I need that real bad.

I hope all goes well with your rig design. Ask allot of opinions from our members here that do off-road all the time. PhilD off hand is one but, there are many more. It is late and need sleep so cannot take time to list all of the guys and gals I know you could trust.

Good Luck!!
