You can check wheel speed sensors for any moisture in them which can cause issues. Other than that I would pretty much need a code to point you in the right direction.

My buddy will bring up the code this weekend. I thought bout disconnecting the battery and letting everything reset. Do you think this would work. I just don['t want to do it if not, because I will lose all of the data in my head unit
thanks

Another question. I replaced the power steering pump last month. It kindof sounds like its whining more than usual. If i got a bum pump, could this do that>
thanks

The pump should not cause any issues, the brake system just uses the power steering pump for brake assist. Better off not disconnecting the battery if you can get someone to read the codes for you. If the fault is not current the code wont reset and you will have to wait till it fails again to retrieve a code. Better off finding the fault and fixing it in my opinion. Some people dont feel this way, hell I have cleared codes out of my truck just cause I didnt want to fix it but i have my own scan tool for my laptop that i take with me on any roadtrip and can usually take care of any problems on the road as long as i have the parts or access to them.

You need to find a scan tool that can read chassis codes, any scanner that has gm enhanced capabilities in it. Or go talk real nice to a local gm tech and maybe he may scan it for you. I have done this for customers before.
