AE=Alter Ego. A few members of the board create fictious screen names(ie, jim cantore is not really a member of the board ) and do not reveal their true identitiy. Sometimes these AEs are quite humorous while other times they are out of line and attacking. It can be a cowardly way of attacking people while keeping your true identity unknown(2 faced?), or it can be just for amusement.

If you have knowledge of ip addresses/proxys and have time to go through their post you can usually figure out who they are. That being said, many of the AEs are rotated through friends on the board.
