I've had my spare on for about 20K miles now. I've had tires damaged (some repairable, some not) and have basically been rotating all 5 tires since. Without the 5th sensor I would have had to either buy another one or swap it to another rim everytime.

So are you just ignoring the warning? Cause I want to rotate my spare in and figure I would ignore it and check the tire pressure just like I always have in the past!

No, I have an early build '06. It came with sensors on all 5 rims. I just relearn the sensors after rotating.

"the spare doesnt get rotated, its your spare and is always your spare."
My dealer said the same to me, sorry but what if you want to change to a different brand and or size after the first set wears...another gov. mandated thing for a few people that are too lazy to check tire pressure for there own safety!

Re: HELLLPPP....tire pressure monitors
I have 2 sets of tires & wheels, and all tires including spares have the TPM sensor. When I purchased the 2nd set of tires few months ago, dealer insisted on 5 TPM sensors to be installed, basically the spare tire TPM being mandatory (for my '07).. I paid like $55 per sensor at the dealer (new ones, ordered from GM).

Re: HELLLPPP....tire pressure monitors
I got a set of tpm's for my extra tires off a chevy equinox. They did not sync with the h3 system even though both 06 gm vehicles.

Re: HELLLPPP....tire pressure monitors
Yea, somewhere mid-year with the 07 models they dropped the sensor in the spare. If your spare has a rubber valve stem then you do not have a sensor.
Also, make sure you use a plastic valve cap and not a metal one. The metal ones bond with the stem and when you try to remove the metal cap it twists off the stem with it and your buying yourself a new sensor. It sucks when that happens!
