Re: Sunday 1-6-08
Barbequeing a nice fat roast today. I gave it a nice rub last night, but forgot one ingredient, brown sugar. I hope it's not bad.
The grill is about 220*, and bacon is on the meat. Ummm... but...
I was making two different glazes, one regular one and one for presentation, exactly to the directions, except I didn't have 4% vineger, just 5%. Now I don't know if that was the difference, but when all the ingredients were blended, including the brown sugar, it tasted like crap! It was so hot my throat burned for a good 15 minutes. I dumped all the sauces and I'll just use Sweet Baby Rays I guess.
I cut the front yard, and now it's time to change out smoke packs! Hickory.

Re: Sunday 1-6-08
Had some friends over for catered barbeque, they just left so now I'm wondering what the heck to do for the rest of the day. House is clean, chores are done, boy is napping...it's like 3 signs of the apocalypse....
Currently 72F outside but mountain cedar is at its peak. I'm keeping Kleenex in business today....it would probably be smart to close the windows up, but the breeze is just too darned nice. I'm stupid like that.
Not even worth turning on the TV today either - yesterday rocked, Rutgers ran over poor Testicle Tech. I'm sad that the college football season is over, it's a lot more fun when you have a decent team (finally). Guess I'll have to refocus on Dallas and the Devs....

Yeah, it was terrible. Maybe I'll post the recipe and someone can tell me what the hell was wrong.

Re: Sunday 1-6-08
School starts for me on Tuesday, picking up my books tomorrow. Went shopping and got the most gorgeous Baby Phat sandals, Starbucks, came home and worked some...napped some. Watched some mindless TV (Girls Next Door, American Gladiators and Desperate Housewives), drank, went in the hot tub and grilled some leftover burgers for the dogs. The weather was gorgeous today and hopefully stays that way till spring/summer.
