I do agree with the courst findings that if he had used a larger caliber pistol that it could have went through his head, through a wall and possibly into someone else's house possibly injuring and innocent bystander.

I think he should have been found guilty of not using the proper caliber weapon. However, punishment should have been to go and buy a shotgun. With a shotgun he could have cleanly removed the little bastards head from his shoulders.

The only problem with using a shotgun would have been the mess he would have to clean up after wards.

I went to college in a little town and we had a case there where a guy heard a noise at his back door while he was watching TV with the lights off. He turned off the television, picked up his compound bow and took a position behind some furniture.

The intruders broke in and he shot one, fatally. The other one ran away wounded. He almost went to a grand jury to determine if his actions were against the law, but eventually they let him off without charging him.

I agree, if given the chance and you have the forewarning, use a bow with a nice broadhead (razor blades) to shoot an intruder. It doesnt matter where you hit him in the body he will most certianly bleed out and die within minutes. A broadhead slides through a body like a knife through hot butter and there is no amount of bandaids and stiches that can save something after being shot by one.

On the other hand, if you dont have time, grab the shotgun
