Mark my words...don't make any big purchases unless its to get away from the cities into rural areas...I'm not sure even if McCain wins that this country will ever be the same again ...We're looking at a continued recession, a possible depression, more leaning towards socialism, if Obama wins more attacks on U.S.A. soil...

National Security is at risk because of a STUPID CONGRESS..ben Ladin is sitting in a easy chair in an air conditioned cave laughing, Chavez, Putin and the little nazi in Iran are planning...its possible in the next 4 years and 2 months that Israeli Fingers will be much closer to "THE BUTTONS"

Anyone want to start a survival thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think this bill sucks - You need to send a message in November and vote out every incumbent. Democrat or Republican, it's the only way to get these guys to wake up. They are about to put this country in serious harm. We are so far beyond our eyeballs in debt already and this plan is not at all well developed. They have not taken any testimony from any of the many leading economists that we have in this country to think this through. They are just going to let Paulson take care of his boys, pay for the homes of those who can't afford them with the money of those who save and spend wisely and there children, prop up the already inflated price of real estate so that we can have an even larger problem later. God only knows what kind of ridiculous pork is getting thrown into a bill that is supposedly addressing an emergency. They don't seem interested in doing this right, they just want to get something out there and either go home or start campaigning. Interestingly those reps that are not seeking re-election have mostly voted against this. Frankly I think spending ourselves silly is a far bigger threat than terrorism at this point. Firstly what happens when we can no longer fund all our anti terrorism activities? Secondly our policies are already being influenced by countries who hold enough of our debt to sink us economically. How many US banks do you think China could short to death if they wanted to?
Let's do something for ourselves in November and wake these f@#kers up!!!

We are scewed either way. Like I have said in the past the US is no longer the US. Country is in the $hitter and spiraling out of control. We still are the most powerful contry but we are being ran by a bunch of priveledged a$$hats who care less about you or I than we care about them. Vote them out???? Would be nice. I propose we look at just overthrowing the whole government.
Drty.........can you assist with this plan

What pisses me off most is that NO ONE....big business owners which have collapsed or those who were supposed to be monitoring them are held accountable. NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS!!!!! How in the hell do 100+ year old businesses go bankrupt?????

From politico.com:
Quote:
With each permutation, the bill has steadily grown in size. Treasury?s initial plan was about three pages long. The House version, which failed, stretched to 110. The Senate substitute now runs over 450 pages. And tucked away in the tax provisions is a landmark health care provision demanding that insurance companies provide coverage for mental health treatment?such as hospitalization?on parity with physical illnesses.
This is going to lead to nationalized health care.

New Tax earmarks in Bailout bill
- Film and Television Productions (Sec. 502)
- Wooden Arrows designed for use by children (Sec. 503)
- 6 page package of earmarks for litigants in the 1989 Exxon Valdez incident, Alaska (Sec. 504)

Tax earmark ?extenders? in the bailout bill.
- Virgin Island and Puerto Rican Rum (Section 308)
- American Samoa (Sec. 309)
- Mine Rescue Teams (Sec. 310)
- Mine Safety Equipment (Sec. 311)
- Domestic Production Activities in Puerto Rico (Sec. 312)
- Indian Tribes (Sec. 314, 315)
- Railroads (Sec. 316)
- Auto Racing Tracks (317)
- District of Columbia (Sec. 322)
- Wool Research (Sec. 325)
