Default Re: Your Thoughts on the Bailout Bill

If you think this bill sucks - You need to send a message in November and vote out every incumbent. Democrat or Republican, it's the only way to get these guys to wake up. They are about to put this country in serious harm. We are so far beyond our eyeballs in debt already and this plan is not at all well developed. They have not taken any testimony from any of the many leading economists that we have in this country to think this through. They are just going to let Paulson take care of his boys, pay for the homes of those who can't afford them with the money of those who save and spend wisely and there children, prop up the already inflated price of real estate so that we can have an even larger problem later. God only knows what kind of ridiculous pork is getting thrown into a bill that is supposedly addressing an emergency. They don't seem interested in doing this right, they just want to get something out there and either go home or start campaigning. Interestingly those reps that are not seeking re-election have mostly voted against this. Frankly I think spending ourselves silly is a far bigger threat than terrorism at this point. Firstly what happens when we can no longer fund all our anti terrorism activities? Secondly our policies are already being influenced by countries who hold enough of our debt to sink us economically. How many US banks do you think China could short to death if they wanted to?
Let's do something for ourselves in November and wake these f@#kers up!!!
