I agree. Got to laugh at all the people who panic'd and sold all their trucks and SUVs and lost a ton of money doing it. Now there all kicking themselves in the butt.

Although I kind of like it up toward $4. Keeps a lot of idiots off the road...and the other cars keep getting smaller.

Re: Yay, gas prices dropping.
Because of low state taxes on gasoline & supply from several regions, MO has always been one of the lowest in the country & central/rural MO the lowest in the country most times. 60 miles West of St. Louis in my area, almost everyone is $2.29 a gallon, but I did see $2.19 in Washington, MO Sunday. When and if it gets to 1.99 (OK, maybe I'm dreaming) I'll snap a picture.
For those of you with a 2009 E85 flex fuel Hummer, they have $1.89 a gallon ethanol E85 at the Quick Stop on hwy 100 on the city limits of Herman, MO.

Re: Yay, gas prices dropping.
GM: Maybe now we can get back to business and build me that HX I want for my driveway!
And I agree that it's kinda funny to see how many people jumped ship over the gas price thing. I remember when i first bought my first Hummer in 2005 and I got the "I am thinking of buying me one of those, but isn't the gas expensive?" at the pumps. I usually replied," Gas costs the same for me, but if you worry about paying for a tank of gas, a Hummer is too much for you"
Now I roll happy in my Hybrid H2 and educate the poor tree huggers when they ask what alternative fuel I use.

Re: Yay, gas prices dropping.
I, and im sure im not the only one, predicted that that gas prices would dive when they were at $4 plus......
Any one else do well short selling or with stock options on oil/gas stocks?
Dam, i love it when im right =).
And for my future prediction.....
All the speculation that drove the market up is not going to have as big of an effect anymore. Not knowing exactly how it all happened, but it seems to me that the 'speculators' have said to themselves 'cut the crap, were not going for that BS about hurricanes and foreign policy changes any more'.....that crap isnt going to make us buy and make oil $150/barrel. We learned our lesson.
From this point on I think it will take VERY major events to jack gas back up....
Just my prediction. Everyone said i was wrong back when i predicted it to crash this winter. And look at it now.
btw I have a $1,000 to $100 bet with a friend that im going to win if it goes below $2 in NY. Dam I need that $1,000.

Re: Yay, gas prices dropping.
This is CRAZY! Gasoline was 2.29 a gallon here last night and this afternoon it is $2.65 - is this a knee jerk reaction to the OPEC projections of cutting back???
