Default Re: I really can't decide on these wheel choices.

If you have upgraded brake kit ti show off the first rin is the way to go. I can speak for quality on the diamo'd as I run 8 karat model and loe the rugged but, sharp looking of them. They have been in many shows and people still ove them. I may be getting a new big brake kit sponsor and if I do I will need to go with a more open rim like the first. So it depends on just what you need to show off. If you want to still look like a rugged H2 the the diamo's are the way to go.

well I went with these 22's...I looked and looked for the diamo's but I just can't find it in a 22 despite their website stating it was available. These were the same price though. Now if only I knew what tires....... swamper m16 or toyo MT...trying to find out which is quiter

The Toyo MTs will be quieter than the Swampers.

really? There is one member on here who has the new swampers that I've talked with. He sai they're only a tiny bit louder than the stock TA KO's. I don't think he ever had the TOYO MT's to comper them too though.

Have you had or been in a truck with the m16's?

chris

BTW....I'm a little scared with both of those creating too much noise for long highway trips....I"m still thinking about 325/60/22 bf ta ko's. I just don't want the rig to have a street truck look because the tires aren't very aggressive.

Yes, and yes. The "other guy" you spoke to has his opinion, I gave you mine. Without a sound meter, it's all down to what your own ears hear, and there are variables in the comparison such as how many miles the tires have on them, are they cupped, etc.

If you are really that worried about road noise, though, you should go with an all-terrain tire. Most tires such as the M16 and the Toyo MT (both on the mild side of the mud tire spectrum) will start out only slightly louder than the stock BFGs, but even with religious rotation, they will get progressively louder.
