Re: front hitch - how to deal with vertical pin?
It's part of a complete trailer package... sells for $160 at your dealership, or you can get it from GM Parts Direct for $115 (copy and paste the part # into the search box).
It looks like this:
'05 H2 Lux, 37" KM2's on 17" Hutchinson Double Beadlocks, Cognito UCA's, Cognito Sway Bar Links, Custom Hydro-Assist Steering Upgrade, Eaton Front Differential Locker, 1" Rear Coil Spacers, Chevy Green Key Torsion Bar "Lift," Bilstein Shocks, Warn 9.5ti Multimount Winch, Dual Optima Yellow Top Battery's, Piaa & Hella Off-road lights, Gobi Rack, Tru-cool External Transmission Oil Cooler, Diablo Predator Hi-Octane Tune.

Yes you can. the OEM articulated hitch pin which drops in from the top is GM Part No. 15059236. $28.48 + shipping at gmpartsdirect.com or about $47 at your local stealership.
The other alternative is a locking hitch pin such as the Bully locking hitch pin (Google it) which must be inserted from the bottom of the receiver. Looks like this:
'05 H2 Lux, 37" KM2's on 17" Hutchinson Double Beadlocks, Cognito UCA's, Cognito Sway Bar Links, Custom Hydro-Assist Steering Upgrade, Eaton Front Differential Locker, 1" Rear Coil Spacers, Chevy Green Key Torsion Bar "Lift," Bilstein Shocks, Warn 9.5ti Multimount Winch, Dual Optima Yellow Top Battery's, Piaa & Hella Off-road lights, Gobi Rack, Tru-cool External Transmission Oil Cooler, Diablo Predator Hi-Octane Tune.
