Sorry Tomp, I don't buy it. Nobody in their right mind would put a PowerWagon over an H3T in real offroad situations.

Lets look at some basic stats here and compare, when it comes down to it, the angles of a vehicle are more important than anything else, because if you can't get your tires on the obstacle, you're NOT getting over it.

Wheelbase:

H3T: 134.3

PowerWagon: 140.5

Ground Clearance:

H3T: 10.2

PowerWagon: 8.3

Approach Angle:

H3T: Listed at 38.7, but real number is 45 Degrees (The HUMMER site lists wrong numbers on both the H3 and H3T, they don't measure from the front shackles being flipped upward and they give some "lawyer leeway")

PowerWagon: 35

Departure Angle:

H3T: listed at 30, but again in reality it's 36 Degrees

PowerWagon: 26.5

The Power Wagon can only run a max sized tire of 33, the H3T can run 35's stock. Putting 35's on the H3T will bump that approach angle to around 53 degrees, the minimum ground clearance to well over 11 inches.

The H3T Designers knew what they were doing, and the H3T will outrun a Powerwagon, just put a tall obstacle with a steep angle in front of it and the PowerWagon is dead.

I'm suprised you all didn't catch this...

BUT

The H3T DOES have REMOVABLE head rests in the rear seats...

Finally got to play with one today...didn't have time to test drive it but am planning to do so next week...

Doh!! I feel really dumb!! I don't know how I missed that! I didn't have the dealer run me through the truck before I took delivery of it. Who knows what other important features I overlooked.

The pull out slide for cargo option. Anyone know the dimensions of that...

Wondering if it will carry 4x8 sheeting. And if it has a weight capacity on the slides?

I didn't carry a tape with me when I looked but i'm guessing the biggest problem would be the weight on more then a few sheets of say, 1/2 "...the only way as far as the width is to actually see the dam thing !!! RE: the length, NO WAY !!!

ANYONE who goes looking take a tape with them...

...I was looking at more in the area that the PW had the solid front axle and sway bar discos. I see your points though, now that I can see them side by side on paper.
