After looking under the hood I'm paying to have it done. Guess I'm just getting old...

Firestone says its gonna cost $14 per plug + labor, about $140 total to tune up my 2006 H3.
The coil is going to run $150 + $48 labor, so it's gonna cost me about $350.00 altogether.
There may be an upcharge if the plenum has a gasket. He says if there's one there it has to be replaced. Is there one there?

I'm at 71K mileage now and my Check Engine light is coding out as a #2 cylinder misfire.

*But to feel like I'm sticking it back to them I'll tell them to do an alignment and tire rotation both for no additional charge since I have the lifetime alignment/tire rotation deal for buying Dueler II Revos.

)

Anyone know how much it costs to do this same job at the dealer?

Change them...just take off the "plastic stuff" and change each plug one by one. You will need an extension for your ratchet. I did it and it was simple. Also, trust me when I say they are not good till the 100K mark...changed mine at 75K and upon inspecting the plugs as I removed them I would say it was almost past time to do so.

Good luck.

OK, so I am at 65,000 miles she seems to running a little rough.
I'll change mine.

So next question that has not come up - What new plugs are we putting in?
The Walmart on sale plugs or the high cost NAPA plugs?
I realize I could do a search for 'plugs', but beat I would get 20 posts with 20 varying answers.
