Re: CHEAPEST PLACE TO LIVE????
Hey Taz,
Sorry you have some issues. Try to find a state like Delaware or Montana where there are no state taxes to eat up your income. Many of the old preferred places to go like Florida and California no longer work due to poor managment...
Speak with you health care providers to determine which region will best suite your condition present and future.
Good Luck!

Re: CHEAPEST PLACE TO LIVE????
I think something else to consider TAZ:
Make sure where you do move to, you will have good helath care close by and that those facilities will not only offer what your illness requires, but that the next state funded insurance will back. I have seen some facilities decline treatments or deffer to a neighboring facility.
As for cheapest, I agree with MT. The cost of living up that way is lower than most, no state taxes, low l.plate renewals, and there are a couple of healthcare providers up there that are decent.

Re: CHEAPEST PLACE TO LIVE????
I know quite a large amount (relativity speaking) of RETIRED Military consider moving to Costa Rica because the cost of living there is very inexpensive in U.S. Dollars...
not sure about health care there though, if it is nationalized, if you as a U.S. Citizen can use it...etc etc
If I and i'm sure anyone else hears of anything we will let you know...
Please keep us in the loop...shame your not a veteran.....I find the V.A. health system to be good...problems do pop up but they do on the private side also...

Re: CHEAPEST PLACE TO LIVE????
Ducky
I wish I had done what I wanted out of high school and took offer as a warrant officer flying Cobra's. I had a full academic scholarship to college and pressed by family to go that route then got married and after 2 years of college wanted to go on back and fly choppers but, this time wife and her mom cried me out of it. I wanted so bad to serve my country but, in a funny way I sort of did I spent my whole childhood as an Air Force brat. I had a good working knowledge of military and I felt I could excell well in that system where you were reward for smarts, drive, and eni****ive (spelling?) but, you know what I mean. I'm proud though I served my nation as a rice, wheat, and soybean farmer for 32 years but, retirement benefit sucks though.
Thanks for all ideas and hope more will come. Man plan is to travel but, have a home base so MT sounds nice.
TAZ

Re: CHEAPEST PLACE TO LIVE????
WY and SD also have no state tax. SD is pretty inexpensive.
