Those are limb lifters. They get the tree limbs and brush to mostly go over the top of the truck. They help with preventing scratches and passengers getting slaped in the face when the windows are open.

Wow, I would love to do that with a bunch of Hummers..... I dont even know if they have those around here.... Best I can do right now is talk my wife into doing some sweet jumps in her Hummer through the Rail-Road crossings

I took pics of Alan's H1 on his camera not mine so I dont have the pix. Yo Alan get them up!!
Tim,
No problems with the Toyo 37's at all. Although I am no longer riding stock height. I lifted the truck 1 1/2" in the front and 2" in the rear. Only rubbing I get is on the sway bars.
