Hey,

I get a rattle like vibration when I'm @ 2100 RPM's. It coming from the rear passenger side.

Could this be my exhaust system? Or is this that "Launch Shudder/Vibration" Bulletin that's on another post?

I'm not to mechanical, so I don't know if the Launch Shudder/Vibration thing is from the rear passenger side!

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks Phil.

The exhaust is a Magnaflow that I've had on for about 6 months. I don't know if this makes a difference?

Bob

I have Magnaflow also and the same annoying vibration...I just turn the stereo up...Haven't had time to troubleshoot the rattle...If you come up with something post it...Love the sound and performance of the system, its definitely loud...

Does yours ONLY happen at a certain RPM and then go away? Like when you first start to accellerate?

yes, mine did it too shortly after magnaflow was installed....crawl under H2 about parallel to passenger side door, and right there where the two (exhaust) pipes connect is a metal band that needs tightened....use a 14mm socket (if I remember correctly) and tighten it down.....it will stop the annoying sound that is coming from the connection...when motor is cold and metal band is loose it causes this vibration at certain rpms (like at a take off), but once the pipes warm up it disappears...just tighten this clamp and it goes away!

Well nice to see your reply ,,I had dreams of transfer box ,,,or transmission it was a strange sound ,,but then I kicked myself thinking how could it be these items as the car is in park and yes when it heats up it goes away ,,,again thanks for the swift reply

Well got it up on the ramp again and checked the bolts ,,,but we found what it was ,,the cat was the problem so we took he front section cut open the cat and seen that the brick inside was broken hence the noise and what a noise ,,so we took out the cat and placed back the piece we cut open and welded it up ,,mounted all back and it runs better than before ....
