Resetting Avg. Fuel Economy

Why don't you share what you did. Might benefit others in the forum with the same question.

With the Avg economy visable in the info center, press and hold the select button for 1-2 seconds, the counter will reset to 0.0

I rarely reset the mpgs unless on vacation, but I reset the gallons used with the <__] steering wheel button every time I fill up.

Also works to reset the oil life %. I reset after each oil change.

My fuel used has never been reset from what I can tell. I know I have not reset it. 1,729 gallons for 21,500+ miles. Around 12.4 mpg average.

My 2004 doesn't reset to zero using instructions here....holding down Select button...so thought you might have tried something else

The select button did the trick.
