I'd really like to see GM do something ballsy...
I've always thought they should just bring the Hx out as a GMC...simply call it the 'HUMMER'

Now that I see it, though, I don't know how I feel about that idea...hmmm.

I wouldn't complain if the 2500 HD concept hit the shelves either...that would be sweet; then I could haul the quad without needing the trailer.

Here's a good tour of the 2500: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gwtjd3MKDcI

While watching this video I kept waiting for the word 'HUMMER' to pop out of one of their mouths...'we started off with a unique HUMMER-like proportion by utilizing our 2500 HD platform'...'we redesigned the upper and lower control arms making the front suspension more heavy-duty based on lessons learned from our HUMMER division/customers'...'we're talking a diesel-powered heavy-duty offroad truck; a concept that might have saved the HUMMER franchise'...'we designed a HUMMER-like fascia that allows for an unobstructed approach to the front tires'...the word HUMMER was an 'elephant in the room' IMO. Hell...Carl Zipfel was on the HUMMER design team!

I'd love to see the GMC pickup. But I'm still pissed that GM took all the bailout money and gave most of it to the unions.

The unions were given the money in the first place, That's all this administration has done is givin taxpayer money in return for liberal votes
But I agree

As far as the GMC It's a nice prototype, but I doubt it will be made, at least not with this administration, they have hardly even advertised their trucks and SUV's and their well past due for the new prototypes to be at the autoshows.

I also have the feeling that you won't get that steel you got in the HUMMER's look at the tahoe z71, it's pointless, it has that silver colored, "skid plate" (or what it's apparently made to look like) plastic on the front integrated bumper.
I refuse to buy something with a painted plastic bumper, those z71's had only fire road trails in mind nothing, in addition to the 4 cyclinder cutout technology, your asking for a whole hell of a lot of problems, check back in 20 years at how they lasted

EDIT: In addition has anyone felt the cheapness of the sheetmetal on the new (I say new but their ageing) trucks? I have personally leaned against one of our work trucks and had a big dent occur, And I weigh 170 at 6'2"

Well it looks like my dream just got squashed

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/...lazer-returns/

It's suppose to have an actual frame and SRA, which is leaps and bounds ahead for the crap of similar size everyone else is selling.

Dunno who the hell thought it would be a good idea to show it with BFG A/T with that much plastic up front, also look better without the side steps
