Default Skid Plate

Just wondering if all H2's have a skid plate because I have a 2003 H2 and it does not have one. How much will it be to buy one?

Not sure what a lift has to do with it! What are you asking? Does you truck have underbody protection? If that is what you are asking then yes, all Hummers are shipped with factory underbody protection but it isn't enough.

Check out real underbody protection for the H2 at Rubberduck4x4.com or Predatormotorsports.com or any of the other aftermarket product companies. I have the RubberDuck added to my H2, H3 and soon will be on my H1 (shipped today for the H1).

you guys are thinking way to hard about his post.

he said it right...

i do not have an answer for you, but my 03 didnt have a skidplate either, but im not the original owner.

If you keep an eye on the classified section, from time to time someone will post up a skidplate for sale.

now that i think about it, i do have a skidplate on mine, but it is a very minimal one, and is not embossed with the H2 logo.

if you really want one, ebay....
i want to say about $200, but im guessing as i cant access ebay on a GOV computer.

Short and simple answer: All H2s came from the factory with skid plates.
There were a handful of special order H2s (estimates are less than 10) from the AMGeneral factory over the years, similar to GM COPOs, but I believe they all had skid plates too.

Then why the big gap between the bottom of your grill and the bumper (red box)? Just curious.

Also, what's the black marks on the front of the bumps on your cowl (green boxes)?

That pic was taken almost immediately after I got it back from the conversion. I had to adjust a few things. Because of the radiator support, it's still not up tight like it should be (I think, I can't remember what it is suppose to look like) but it's acceptable now.

Here's a pic I just took.

The black spots are little grilles in the caps.
