No stop light in BUMPER One side ONLY??

yes correct the lower bumper lights. Should I disconnect the trailer plug harness and check for continuity, etc?

I dont have the harness in front of me, but i dont think there are any disconnect points in it. The feed plugs into the trailer plug and the rear lights are hardwired into that. You can lookup the pinout at the trailer plug and check for continuity between that and your light plug.

Just had this problem with my truck, the running lamp in my left lower bumper light was working but not the brake/signal..... thought the second element in the bulb was bad, pulled it and it looked fine, replaced it anyway and still didnt work, tried another bulb and nothing. Took it into the dealer (Im under warranty still) and they informed me that the harness had a short in it and replaced it.... working fine now.

wether its a short or open circuit, it can still be easily detected w/ a volt/ohm meter. Probably take you longer to google the trailer harness pin out wiring than actually diagnosing it. Anyone should be able to do this if they wanted to save a few bucks.

Agree with MUD, should be fairly easy to track down.... obviously if my truck wasnt still under warranty (I also had another issue that had to be addressed) I would have tracked my issue down myself. Im sure the dealer would bend you over good if it wasnt a covered issue.

oK guys I just replced the trailer/rear lights harness with a new one from Ebay and I have the same problem. One stop light still not working. I did switch the sockets/buls with the same result. So what's next?

Can I jumper the wire from the other working side? Is there any fuses or relays that control this item? The problem must lie further upstream in the main harness?

Need some diagnosis help here?

Latestest update: Now when my right directional is on the lower left one flases also??? Still no brake light either. Could this be tied to a flasher relay? Any ideas? or part numbers to repalce for the flasher?
