yeah i still have the truck. had a lead importing it out of the country, but that fell through due to shipping date and production date of the hummer . im pretty set on a new tahoe. i want something with a warranty and a bit lower. my wife is getting larger every day( due to a baby) and its harder for her to get in and out. she says she doesnt mind, but i know she does. so, for a while ive been wanting a sporty SUV like a porsche cayenne or audi. but their just too small for me. so im going to go with a new tahoe and do a Pedders lowering kit and bushings to help give it that sporty handling. i love this hummer, its just time for me to move on. i will get another hummer im sure. ill be selling my 2001 silverado 2500 plow truck and ill get a high mileage H2 and throw a plow on that. that way i get the best of both worlds.

Have you thought about putting it on vehix.com?

I put my Sky Red Line up there a few years back and sold it for my asking price; which was over KBB due to some of my performance mods.

The Premium package is $29.99...you get to post 27 photos and it will run 90 days; then I think you can renew another 90 days for free. Somehow it's tied to other automotive search engines because the guy that bought my car said he found it on a completely different site. You should check it out...

In my mind Vehix isn't good for a 'quick' sell though, it's more about advertising your unique vehicle in a venue where people looking for unique vehicles will go; getting your vehicle out there for the 'right' person to find. In this case, the 'right' person is the one looking for a well-kept, lifted Hummer with performance mods. It's like one giant car lot. I never would have gotten my asking price for my Sky at a dealer or with a For Sale sign. I needed a buyer that was actually looking for my car, not one that just happened upon it.

As it turned out a roadster enthusiast in CA found it 'cause he'd been searching for a Sky to replace one he'd totaled. He wired me the funds and sent a truck to pick it up...

your exactly right. its hard to sell any modified car. it takes the perfect buyer to see it at the right time. thats why it took me a year and a half to sell my 99 trans am. i had just about everything done to it and was asking some big bucks. a guy in cincinnatti came up. bought it and left. gave me everythign i was asking for it. but it took me a while to sell. i dont expect to sell this over night, im just hoping to sell it by july-august.
