Default Re: new to me h2 radio issues

yeah iv kind of narrowed it down to the deck .. the gm decks these years have allways been plauged with issues .. has any one tryed to hook a aftermarket deck to the bose amp with out a interface . it seems that with most of the adaptors out thee there taking the preout from the new deck and through the adaptors wireing sending that signal to the bose amp . iv seen a few that also allow u to use that decks speaker outputs to . most seem to be limited to 3 volts max preout and im guessing since most newer decks have 5 volts or more alot of the noise issues are related to that .. i guess i could allways pull the bose amp add in my own amps to power the speakers . even though the bose speakers are of a lower ohm rateing im sure if i dont drive them too hard i wont over work the amps too much .. like i said im not to worried about loseing the chimes or the onstar . but i dont want to spend a bunch on a interface and have it give me issues . or noise . plus my daughter keeps reminding me that my new truck is lacking a dvd for her since my last one had one lol
