I just checked Greyhound shipping and from NH to Texas, it's still $70. The box is 21 pounds and 72 inches long. I also checked NH to CA (cross country) and it was still $70...

Fed Ex and USPS were both over $80 too...

Just to see, I also checked on UPS on a few more states, and shipping from NH to Newark NJ is approx $38, and NH to Orlando FL is $58...

So it looks like depending where someone is located, shipping could be rather reasonable...

Ever consider: disassemble it, put the cross member in a tube and the pedestals in a flat rate box?

Thanks for the idea, but I've lost interest in this project. Took me about half an hour already to custom fit a box around the whole darn thing to start with... She's wrapped and ready to go...
