Ebay, I think I had maybe $30 into the LED's and still have a box full of them. I tried different colors, sizes, types (refracted and non-refracted) until I was happy with the result.

I can try to figure out the seller I bought them from for you if you're interested. Top notch seller, they would bag and heat seal each different type of LED and label each bag so you knew what was what in the box.

That wuld be super helpful.

I remember someone mentioning the best place to get the brightest LEDs before but I forgot.... so.....
