Once many moons ago, a GF was driving my car, we got off the freeway exit at Berkeley, she saw a dog on the side of the exit, she stopped the car and backed up. I freaked out, WTF are you doing??!!! Cars exiting freeway at 60MPH, you are backing up to pick up a dog!!!???? She insisted I was upset because I worried about my car, no, I was worrying about our lives! People do very strange things when it comes to animals on the road. A very smart woman doing a very stupid thing over a dog.

I've hit deers a couple times and a cat once, I felt very bad about them, but I drove straight into them, had no choice and was not a choice to make. Bad experiences and all shaken up but we are all fine and no damage. Got to train your brain to respond to such emergencies, split second decision can save you and your family's lives.
