Thanx for the replies. I agree that the screen is there to stop debris and to modify the airflow coming in. On the Tahoe, I didn't see a screen, and after installing the intake, I disconnected the battery momentarily so the OBD computer would reset for the modification.On the H2, you can see the sensor. It looks much like an l.e.d. bulb protuding into the airflow from the side of the mas housing.I am gonna take the screen out soon, and see what happens. This is the first time I installed a better flowing air filter and got very little audible/noticeable change at w.o.t. I will also call my favorite mechanic (still hot rodding at the local nhra sanctioned strip) for an qualified opinion. :-)
