anyone???? I really dont want to feel like i wasted 45 bucks on the oem switches. I purchased these off of autowebaccessories at a 3 week back order so i can only imagine the kind of service they will give me when i call and try to find what i need now.

not at 5:50 in the am. SHHHHHHHIIIITTT!

I was wondering if that's what it was. YOu are going to have to solder a wire and connector on... unless you can get the other part to that harness.

That is the problem I could not find the male end to connect to the switch so I made my own connection with Radio Shack connectors.

Timgco,

I have gone to every auto parts store in the area with no luck. Napa,Auto Zone, Advanced Auto parts, a Chevy dealership, and even a radioshack. They all ack like they have never heard of a product to connect this switch. The Chevy guy said to go to the hummer dealership that i purchased from but they are far away. Can anyone find a part number or suggest a solution such as soldering the wires from the relay to the switch? I mean the 3 prongs represent a positive a negative and a ground right?

I have the same switch - the OEM one that you use for the overhead lights. My light also does not come on when the vehichle lights are on, it only comes on when depressed.

Actually, it glows behind the light and you can barely see it on. When depressed.

I think this is because of the third connector, I could not figure it out so I got used to it.

Sorry I am not any help, but sounds like I have the same scenario.

i take some pics tonight after work. i have been having trouble uploading pics but i will work on it some more tonight. By the way these are the switches that go beside the cigarette lighter adapters, under the AC controlls.

yes the switch does light up only when the light is depressed. The chevy guy said that there was not a part no. for the female end just a part number for the offroad kit. Does that make sense? I mean if the switch has a part number so should the wiring harness. Anyone have access to a GM parts database that can help me out?

thanks for any help

Im not sure on the factory switch.Generally there would be 1 ground ,1 positive for accy, 1 positive for the light on switch(the switch lights up right), By the way negitive is the same as ground.
