Ok I have a lot of questions and comfirmations. I read a lot on this forum, over the course of 5 months. now im ready to post.

First my dad is waiting to buy me The new H3X. Now he told me to order it, is that possible?

Second the engine supposedly changed in the H3s from the H3X. If im not mistaken the H3's have an inline (Pistons) enging, am i right? What will the X have? and h3 has 220 hp, will the X have a little more or same, or less?

the clearance lights, or roof lights, do they on the most part whistle when you drive, or is that just for some unfortunate owners?

Also I dont want to back over my own bike (lol, im still a kid--19) is the best bet to get a camera, or sensors? Or do some of you do fine without anything?

H3 power... I drove(rented) a chevy entravan i think, or something like that, and it had Great, i mean GREAT pickup. (and i own a 2k2 manual eclipse). Some say the h3 has bad pickup...trust me i know this is a touchy situation and im not asking for a sports car, i dont feel safe in them. but my dad drove an envoy and said it had good pickup, and great handling (4x4) Should i expect that in the h3x?

I have so many questions but i'll ask more after these hopefully get answered=) thanks !!!!

The H3x is just a repackaged Lux. No engine changes. Not worth the money IMO.

Visibility out the back is bad. You get used to it, but a camera is a good idea.

As far as power, I'm not getting into that conversation again. Go take a test drive and decide for yourself.

You're a luck kid Matt19. My dad would have never bought me a 35K truck.

As far as I know there may be displacement changes in the engine for 2007, but doent expect a hot rod. It will never be fast.

Sewies comments are spot on about the X. Personally I can't stand it. Hummers are for off road, not bling. But... to each their own.

Not sure about the H3X at all. I have had my H3 for about a month now. I love it! Visibility is bad out of the back but my parents Volvo XC90 is bad as well. This is common throughout SUV's. That being said I back down my driveway every morning and my driveway is steep and curvy. You get used to it.

As far as power goes I think it has plenty. I've owned some pretty fast vehicles and am not at all bothered by its lack of HP. It isn't a sports car by any means but speed wasn't what it was designed for. This so called problem is way overblown. Just my opinion.

No kidding. Must be rough.

I fall firmly into the "chrome won't get you home" camp. If you're into pavement princesses than get a 2wd.

I'm willing to bet a lot of your questions have alredy been asked somewhere in these posts.

Congrats.

I just sold a Dodge to get my Hummer. While the Dodge had plenty of power it lacked in other areas. Dodge vehicles are not held in high regard and you will get burned in re-sale value. I looked at the Commander's as well and found no comparison to the H3 in style.

Nothing I really don't like about my H3. Smooth ride, style, and it gets good gas mileage for an SUV. Not to mention its a Hummer. You will get plenty of looks driving it.

Matt, if you don't like the Hummer's you will get rediculed off off this forum pretty quick. Thats because we pretty much all have one or is pretty close to someone that does. Vehicles speak to everyone different based on priorities. Dodge has great towing capacity, Chevy's are quick... Jeep... well I'm not sure what jeep is... (have to throw bones to the rubicon though) But I think the H3 is a nich vehicle... pretty much any vehicle will get you from point A to B safely. But if everybody wanted just transportation we'd all still be driving Chevette's, Pinto's, and Gremlin's. Today there simply isn't a more practical everyday vehicle out there that you can as severly off-road without worrying about the little things. I think one of the reason's hummers have such poor (I'm speculating) visibility is that the shorter the posts the stronger they are going to be... I believe you could drop an H3 upside down and not worry about the roof pancaking on your head. I know i'm willing to sacrifice some inconvenience in visibility for this. Besides it forces the driver to keep a much higher situational awareness... wich actually makes me a safer driver... and gives a pretty bad ass look. I don't think there is another vehicle out there where the front posts are designed as such a functional roll cage. Its the little things you just don't think about... until you are on an off camber line and you are thinking to yourself... holy ****, if I should roll over... 'well I'm glad I'm driving a hummer' its all about what you are looking for and what suits you. I had a BMW once, macked out with the dinan suspension etc... driving through some neighborhoods in North and East Denver, I thought my car was literally going to come apart. I don't give poor roads a second thought anymore. The H3 has the horsepower and the gearing perfectly suited for exploring. Its probably one of the most overbuilt vehicles sold to the public. Its heavy for a reason, and yeah who doesn't want more horsepower... but looking at the entire package... I can't tell you how many times since last October I've said to myself I'm so glad I'm driving hummer... from hitting that hidden pothole, to crossing the freeway median in tall grass, driving in icy mountain passes, to making it accross a parking lot much quicker because, hell... I took a straight line. I know I'll be driving these things for as long as they'll be making them.

Neo ~ 3questions if I may: 1) are those 315/75R16s? 2) What made you choose TOYO M/T Open Country over BFG A/T's or another brand? 3) did you have to make any adjustments to the rear door mounting to accomodate the larger tire? While I'm waiting to take delivery of my truck (ordered last week), I'm debating whether to tell the dealer I want something other than the 33" Bridgestone Dueler A/T's that come from the factory with the Adventure package. Your sertup is sweet. Thx.

Kewl, Neo. Thanks for the previous thread. I am SOLD on the Toyos. Best price I found online was $233.25 here:

Super Duty HQ

Have you seen anything better? I'll most likely get them via my local outlet, but being able to quote an aggressive price will force them to match.
