If Jason feels that Uniblack is legitimate then I apologize for jumping him.
I still feel it would be better to conduct this in a more private manner. Too many H2 haters out there.

Mine gets 17 MPG too if I reset it at the top of the hill and read it at the bottom after I coast down!

As mentioned in the "What side of the H2 Fence are you on?" - Uniblack seems to be legit.
He passed on a phone number to me, that was "owned" by GM and I was able to get in touch with him.
Feel free to participate in these discussions with some confidence that it will be used for good, not evil!

I can't push one over on you can I? To answer your question, I do work for General Motors. I'm interested to see how the buying public feels about the state of the H2 from a design and engineering standpoint. Any information you could add to this post is much appreciated.
Thanks,

89 Vette, I see you tell me how to get more HP, what i would like to know is where is the HP the Caddy has and the H2 does not have? Seems like this is the same motor, could it just have poor air and exhaust flow or does the Caddy have different internal parts (cam, heads, etc)? maybe the GM guy can answer this one.

The H2 weighs 620lbs more than the EXT and has 30 more horses and I think 20 more ft lbs of torque. Plus it does not have as big a tire. The H2 does have 4:11 gears and that should make up for the larger tire. When I jump in the Escalade, I feel like I am driving a go cart. The steerign is so light and it has so much more power.

As I posted on your other thread:
Hey, who are you and why are you asking these questions with in your first two posts?
I think you either 1)work for GM, 2)work for another manufacturer, 3)are involved with some left wing hate group, or 4) are involved with some other 4x4 group and want to use this info for fun at our expense.
Prove me wrong little fellow.

just flip your key ring back over the key when it is in the ignition and that will fix that problem. it can't bang around if it can't move at all, or you can just turn the radio up real loud and forget about it

If the H2 and the Caddy EXT have the same motor and trans and weight about the same, why does the Caddy have so much more pickup? What simple fix can be done to get the H2 on the same level?

I still think he is FOS and should be keel-hulled...I am a man of many words but I have nothing to hide and I never say you have to talk to me in private about stuff.. If you are legit, then prove it, what do you do for GM and what dept, how long, numbers to contact for reference, etc........................
No info, no truth, no compassion from me. Step up or step off....

My 6.0 has good power but I think you should offer a diesel. I would have taken that over the gas any day.

I'd vote for an improved suspension with more ground clearance utilizing stronger, more durable components. The front suspension appears to be the weakest link and my main concern...on pavement and off pavement.

I wish that the transfer case from the hd1500 and 2500 was standard in the H2. The ability to shift out of 4wd would improve the MPG and performance drastically.

install an air tank for the compressor. i did not get the adventure package... kinda glad I didnt now.. I have heard the compressor is weak... it takes 20 minutes to bring the tires back from 20PSI....
I had my own compressor installed and larger airtank... LOVE IT!!! can air up in just a minute or two
plus if you are combing the forum... you would know I have a pretty sweet airhorn....with lanyard...
I have had it for about 3 weeks...and use it several times a day... una!
