Picked it up last night. Just barely made it into the garage. Just in time too, NYC is going to get its 1st snow storm of the year tonight.
Well the $41,600 price turned out to be real.
I'm pumped!! can't wait to post some Pics

I'm fast approching the time when I can finally buy an H2. I remember reading about people who are getting 5 to 10,000 off on the 03's. I know this topic has been discussed before but I have had a hard time finding an answer. Who has found the best deal do far on either a 03 or 04? I live in the Seattle area but would be willing to drive across the country if necessary. Thanks all for your help.

The sticker on my red mettalic 03 adventure series was $56,700. After a few months of arguing with the dealer, and phone calls to GM, I was able to take advantage of a discount my company is given for handling GM stocks. They leave participation up to the dealer, but they were able to coax them into giving it to me. so with the 6 grand discount and then the 23 grand they gave me for my range rover, I paid $27,700 for mine.

I have. My first experiance was not a good one. I found an 03 I liked; base with heated leather seats and made a reasonable offer just below MSRP. After balking at my offer the sales manager replied "you must not be the kind of person that can afford an H2". Needless to say, this was unappropriate. I walked. I understand that this is a sizable investment and have no problem doing so. I just want to make sure that I am getting the best deal possiable. I didn't get to this position at my age by throwing money away. Ultimatly I would like a 03 with heated seats and a sunroof for 43,000 to 45,000. Is this unreasonable? The other 3 dealerships in my 250 mile radius are all at Invoice to 5,000+ on a 03. As I mentioned, I remember reading stories about some fantastic deals and would like to be one of those fortunate few. Thanks for the welcome MAC.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> All of you guys got a lot more love than they gave us in so cal <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
H2chick, that alone says it all. Dealers in Cali don't have to cut many deals, whereas here in TX, the full size truck market is HUGE. Any dealer who won't budge will just be sending his business down the road.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> I have no trade and am paying cash so they won't make any money reselling a trade. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
And
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> Where are those $7K to $10K below sticker deals? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Born, those two statements are the reason that you may not have had much luck on the negotiation side. Dealers will come down off of sticker when;
a. There's money to be made by low-balling your trade in
b. There's factory to dealer cash (There isn't any on H2)
c. There's money to be made on the finance end by financing you through the dealership
d. There's money to be made because of weather or other outside factors (ie Buy a convertable in the dead of winter or a 4WD BEFORE it starts snowing)
e. There's money to be SAVED because it's the end of the month and they have to pay tax on the inventory in stock on the 1st.
I understand that you hvae your H2 now, but you may want to work on your shopping technique. Dealers don't just knock money off of the sticker for "fun" or because you're "special" or the old favorite "Now, I like you, so what I'm gonna do is....."
It has nothing to do with customers going in and paying sticker, hence making it a more competative environment for you, it's that you really didn't seem to be giving much for the dealer to work with. Try a bit of sugar in the negotiations, and they will sweeten the pot for the most part.
Yes, this is my truck. No, I will NOT help you move.

I can't help you on current prices, but if you need any help on other stuffs, we are all here to help. Current prices is a complicated ever-changing subject which we went through 500 times and takes a lot of energy, if you come up with more data on your side, such as what you got locally, what you are buying, whats your target, etc.. maybe someone will jump in here.
Have you ever walk into your local Hummer dealer's showroom? If you are a serious buyer, you would be visiting all the Hummer dealers within 3 hours range, beats driving across the country. If you haven't done any of that, you are not a serious buyer yet, but I am sure you have. Have you?

I bought mine in August, not the deal that spike got, but I went through a broker, who worked it out over the phone, I just showed up, signed papers for 10 minutes then drove it away.
this broker is pretty good and encourges you to find a better deal. if you want her number, email me, it might be worth a couple of phone calls and California is a bit closer than Jersey

Who cares about the financing.. no Hummer dealer when dealing will give you a good rate. Even tho they charge you 20% interest.. so what.. just get it and get your own financing yourself outside. For $41k.. hell.. pay cash and run!

Which dealership is it? Some of the bigger dealerships pay under Dealer Invoice, but like I said, that is a damn good deal.
I know the Retail on mine was 48k, the Dealer Invoice was 44k, and the GMS price was 43k, which is what I paid. But 41k is just a crazy price. If you are looking at a Red Base model, see if he'll give the same price on another identical vehicle on the lot.
I don't know, I'm just suspicious of that price I guess.

Besides being in the "other" washington the ad is a hoax. The number is from a university out there and is disconnected. Sounds like Dom's deal was the one I'm looking for. Congrats Dominick.
