Just buy it, and don't ever look. There is a couple of mods you can do, programmer, headers, muffler, ~2000 that'll get you another 1.5 - 2 mpg and get upwards of 13 and change. If it's a real concern, but once you have and drive it, Miles Per Grins becomes a bigger factor.

My 03 had 17,000 miles when I traded it, never reset the avg mileage on the computer, and my average was 11.6. My 05 has 6,000 miles on it and have also not reset since new and my avg is 11.6 again.

You really don't drive much. I wouldn't worry about the MPG at all and just buy it if you like it.

When traveling, 90%+ on Interstates @ 70-75 I get from 12.8-13.1 with the air on 100% of the time. Around town where 75%+ is stop & go I get an average of 11.2. My overall average is 11.8 mpg. I also have a Yukon Denali XL & while it averages 1.5 mpg better in every situation, the H2 averages 20-25 more smiles per gallon, so I drive the H2 exclusively, LOL.

between 10 and 11mpg stock. the more modifications you do, the worse it gets. however, you look cool in it and chicks dig it, the only problem is that Chevron loves it too!

Ok guys, they told me this for an H2

"Because of the current promotions on the H2, the leases are a better value: The base model that we discussed will only cost 675 + tax on the 36 mo lease with 1018 total @ delivery."

What do you guys think?

Yes or No...

OK, so you only put 11.5k miles in 2.5 years. That's less than 400 miles a month, which is like a little over a tank of gas per month. I really don't think you should worry about gas mileage

Big Gaydy gets between 10 and 11 mpg, stock. I get 11.3 non-stock. Further, Big Faggy says the more mods you do, the worse mpg gets. Again, Little Bumpy has it wrong. I've avg'ed 11.3 and have more engine mods than most anyone you'll ever come across. Recently I avg'ed 13.8 on a 6 hour trip up into the mountains to go wheeling.

Lastly, Big **** says Chicks dig it. Well, I guess we don't need to go down that well traveled tunnel-o-****. But he got lucky and is right. Gals love it. And according to gay daddy, so do boys.

Engine Mods do not hurt the gas milage.
I have done eveything except go inside the engine and I average 13 combined give a little each way. Now if I went around sticking My foot in it and running WOT then yes milage goes down more but, I do put My foot in it allot so that is included in average. I have not run it yet with supercharger as I'm making allot of outside and inside mods since I had it in My shop to add SC anyway. I will have it out and drive it some before I take it back to My shop to continue with more mods. I'm quite sure My MPG will go down at first until I get the WOW factor over with trying the SC out. I will be going to a 2.9 pulley and HP Tuning soon and do not know what it will do to milage but, honestly I do not care or I would not have bought the H2 to begin with and would not be adding all the performance mods. IN all honesty if You worry about milage a person does not need one. It is sort of like wanting to own a top end Jag or Ferarri and asking what is a tune up going to cost. Well they will run around $1000 give or take some. Oil changes on them are in the $200 to $300 range. So not trying to sound eletist which I'm not just a regular old country boy just trying to be practical about the topic. If You want a H2 just do it and do not care about MPG or repairs. If that is what will determine Your decision honestly do not buy a H2. You will be unhappy until You get out and drive it for a while and see how fun it is to drive.
Well just My experience to share so that is the best advice I can give is from practical eveyday use and adding the mods and watching what happened when mods were added.

I have probably got the second most modified engine next to Ken but, will catch him soon. We are planning some LS1 heads and cam that some F-bodies are running along with some other goodies. I have a LS1 expert in My shop so We are looking into the mods and planning when to do them. Not for racing but, for use when needed, well for some racing just a little. Will not allow the mighty H2 to be out run if I can help it at all. Plus, it is a WOW factor in shows and I found You get big points for having these mods to the H2 and get big points. Plus I just like fast off and on so the further engine mods will meet 2 goals. Fun and show points. It will be driven less but, I want to build a lifted rig to drive daily so it all gives Me an excuse to blow a bunch more money on my H2 addiction. You will become addicted if you get one.

Well one of My goodest Buddies if Your goin to hang with Me, better be talkin to the beauty You call wifey and start getting it lined up. I'm blessed right now without having a house hold banker looking over My shoulder. I told a guy the other day that I demolished in a show, after He challenged Me about defending the state title this year, that he better have a bigger wallet than I'v heard about and beside he may have some money but, he does not even come close to having the talent I have access to for conversion electronic or power. He does not know about the 12" monitor or PC stuff. He is going to crap his shorts when Oct. 05 comes around, oh I think they are changing date this year better check on that. His mistake was telling me at the last state that I was never going to win another because it has never been done back to back and they let out of state rigs in. Then the worst thing He did was about a month ago I ran into Him and he had hung some Manik stuff on and He said He was going to kick my butt. That was a bad thing to do. I told Him it does not bother me last year state I sent a 10th aniversary, the nicest H1 i have ever seen, home with 2nd place and I was told the vote was not close. It was all copper and wood interior and he traveled around to show. He was from Florida. Plus 3rd and 4th place all blacked out black H2's with racks the works. I thought they were real sweet but, I guess the bling is the thing or was then anyway. Hummer owners only get to vote. I think there was 40 or 50 there many from out of state. It does say alot for the black and blacked out look that they took 3rd and 4th though if You ask me. The crazy thing is at the tme I still had factory chrome rims and tires. Did not have the nice stuff like now.
Well Buddy of mine let Me know what You plan and I'll let You know what I've already done.
I Appreciate You Buddy Ken and You know I'm joking. Just do not let Co-Pilot see this I do not want Her mad at Me as I plan on coming out this year and seeing You guys. Besides She may rip out the check book and smoke My tail. So I do not want to duel with Her.

Thanks for the jokes and fun teasing Buddy.
Hey I'm not stupid i know what a LPE rig can do. I'm just considerng doing some stuff for WOW and maybe some water methane injection stuff to run up boost for some runs at the track to post numbers at shows. Who knows i may blow an engine and I will just build a real nice one from scratch. I would go to LPE for a 427 but, I got a LS1 specialist that I would probably give Him a shot at laying out a plan for a complete work. But, We will do the heads and cam later. Just avoiding the crank as the numbers We see the crank should be good and stout if everything is done right up top with roller cam, lifters and rockers etc. Heads custom built for the crank used etc. you know the drill. I do not know why I'm telling you this stuff.

You know, I decided to buy my H2 after a lot of thought, and a lot of reading here on this awsome site. I then chose a color (Stealth Gray) and after doing some shopping, flew from Phoenix to Omaha and made the purchase. It WAS my intention to drive my H2 only occaisionally, but something happened on the drive back to Phoenix, somewhere between the 1,400 miles and all the snow and Ice, I realized what an all around perfect vehicle I'd purchased. Since then (January) I've spent a lot of money on accessories, (got a rebate thanks to the guys here, and their wonderful wisdom) and yeah, my gas mileage has improved 1-2 MPG but that wouldn't matter, I enjoy the status, I enjoy the feeling of belonging to a sort of rare "club", and I'll continue to drive my H2, daily, regardless of the fuel prices. Yeah, I still have my 2004 Ford F 150 4X4 and I still have the wifes 2004 Ford Explorer, and they sit in the Drive, while each and every morning I fire up the H2 and head to work and daydream about the next upgrade, or ponder the prior evenings readings here at the site and wonder what I want to do next. Point is, take a drive, get hooked, and the rest is of no great consequence really. Oh yeah, I average around 13 MPG now, unless I put my foot in it, which I tend to do......
