If you can tear yourselves away from the mud slinging thread, I would appreciate your knowledgable and stylish feedback. I am removing ALL chrome from my, soon-to-arrive, 2004 Pewter H2. Your opinion on the front grille color would be appreciated (see this and next for photos):

Has anyone seen a picture of a Red on Red?
I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but have been waiting for the factory painted grills to come out.

Oregon???? You are far enough away to not feel threatened by my rig!!
Only joking!!!
Do you have a brush guard (which one?) on your rig?
When will you be installing your NEW grille and will you post pics?

Yeah, I've been there before, but haven't seen any photo's of a Red H2 there.
Did I just miss them?

Detonate
I have not found your red grille but there are several (pewter-on-pewter, black-on-black, black-on-pewter, and yellow) at ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2444510492
Scott at www.hummer-parts.com will sell you the grille at $308.00 (shipping & tax incl.)
IF you promise to a)post a picture of your rig (post install) on this site and b) email him a pic of your H2 with the grille installed. This offer is only for pics of colors NOT available on the site above.
Sounds like a deal.
You can reach him at 800-650-4036, or sales@hummer-parts.com

Sounds pretty reasonable. I'll send this over to my wife as my Christmas Wish list...
The problem is that I really want to see a Red H2 with the Grill installed, BEFORE I buy one. :/
We'll see.
Thanks for the info though. Much appreciated.

SFRcaster, sounds simple, but let me just make sure. I have a black Hummer, I want to buy a black grill. Since they have a black on black photo on the website, that means I have to pay full $368 not the discounted $308. Right?
Is this grill available from our forum store? Price$ I think I need to shop here first.
PhilD's estimate of 20 minutes installtion does worry me, do I want to prove to myself that I am a lesser man than PhilD? 20 sounds way too low for such task.
BTW, why is your place called "Striper Coast?" is it striper as in striper, female who takes off their cloth professionally? is it because there are a lot of stripers in your town? or it has a deeper historical meaning or origin?
