You gotta love the internet and Ebay. I know some dealers are selling stock take off wheels and tires, but I bought a set of 4 wheels (didn't want the tires) to mount some off-road tires on from Ebay and paid $150 for all four.

Me too. They were used, but in good shape, nothing to complain about.

I bought them so I could get them powder coated and not have to do the whole switchout thing with the truck on a rack somewhere. I am actually thinking of powder coating all of them black then selling back the extras on ebay. Might be able to make my cost back up that way.

I talked to my dealer last week and they wanted $800 for a set of four takeoffs.I think I am going to buy a set off ebay also. You can buy a set of chrome rims for about $700 on ebay.

Yeah, I called the local dealerships as well, thinking I would be helping them out by moving dead inventory. Instead they try to screw me with the part replacement list price. That is just nutty. But hey, their right to set the price...and our right to deny it.

I am going to go ahead and black coat both sets and sell the second....I already have the boxes to put them in.

Ditto!!

I paid $152.50, (somebody had already started the bidding at $150.00).............

But the best part,........this guy was on the same side of town as me!!!!!

I got to take a look at them first, and this guy had put them in the box his bling-blings came in, and he put the little plastic pieces that protect the beads on them!

I'm gonna powder coat them black, and wait for Super Swamper to make some boggers in 17"
(These will be for playing only!)

I stopped by a Hummer dealer in Atlanta the other week and got some take-offs, (wheels and tires 0-miles) to use when my stocks get slick. Only paid $100.00 bucks a peice for those.

Who said Hummers are too exspencive?!?!

(Now I got a bunch of buddies trying to figure out how to squeeze 315/70/17 under thier 2500 series trucks!)
