Hi Everyone! Well the time has come and I will be picking up my H3 this weekend! I'm getting a White H3 Adventure with rocker panel protection and the removable U steps.

So the big question is: get the front Mud Flaps only, or get the full set?

For those of you with the full set, do the rear flaps actually do anthing to protect the truck?

I thought you couldnt add mudflaps with rocker protection ?.Before I got my mudflaps I did get some nics in lower bumper plastic on rear bumper from my gravel driveway, none since I installed mudflaps.Ther was a thread on installing mudflaps with rocker protection a while ago.You would have to customize them.Im not sure if dealer will install. Dealer charges alot to install flaps do it yourself(you will need angle drill attachment) its very easy there are many threads on that subject.

I plan on doing the install myself. No way in hell I'm getting charged $80 to install a PAIR of mudflaps.

I have seen the threads that have said that its possible to install the flaps with the rocker bars. Thanks for your feedback.

Heres a pic with the mud flaps and the rockers. If you see the back, the mudflap is bent totally back to the bumper, it came right back, a little scuffed, but just fine.

When you are really in mud, they do not help much. But for the daily driving thru the sprinkler water in your office parking lot, they work great. Keeping the "Rainbows off the sides of your truck!

Its one thing to tear up a $25 plastic mud flap that might hang up on something, but I'd REALLY hate to have to replace the plastic fender flares that the flaps are attached to. That's big bucks. There's very little meat holding the flap screws and they could tear out easily, maybe ripping the flare. For that reason, the flaps will come off whenever I go on the trail. Three screws each...off in seconds. (Note: I didn't install the push-in panel rivets that came with the flaps; they don't really do anything.)

The rear flaps are mainly going reduce spray and help the guy behind you see you when its wet. That's not insignificant...I know how pissed I get when someone with big tires is ahead of me on a wet road and throwing up a wall of mist that I can't see thru.

Did anyone rip off a rear flap yet. Any mention off rear flaps on this forom says it bends back .I was thinking of replacing the push screws (4) with a pull screw (to fit 1/4 inch hole)like the factory ones(the leftover pull screws dont fit).Next time im at the auto store i'll see if they have some .

I didn't know you could purchase just 2 mud flaps.

HummBebe - that is an impresive picture. How did you do that?

I got all four, but I will have to say in snow and slush, the front ones are worthless.
I end up with more slush on the front of my fender flares than on the bottom side of the vehicle.
My guess, if they were about three inches longer, that would prevent this slush buildup. So, if slush is getting on there, so is salt.
I might purchase some stiff rubber (no pun) and attach to the bottom of each front mud flap, for winter driving. I'll use some small bolts to hold in place, and when in the non-snowy season, remove them.

Extended fender flares are coming to the rescue. At local delaer today and was told 1-2 months out. I have 20" toyo open countries on my H3 and mud flaps wouldnt do much. I am just gonna wait till the flares come out and install asap
