So if you have factory installed OEM lights on your roof or in your grill I supposed they are legal. I am not sure what the laws are though?

Can you use roof lights in the city? What about extra fog / driving lights (properly installed and aimed of course)

Each state will be different. I have yet to see a state that allows roof mounted lights to be used on road though.

depends on your state H3..here in PA, the roof lights must be covered according to our vehicle inspection laws, however I do not know any cops that would cite that violation. fog lights are okay, but they must be functional and can't obstruct any stock component of the vehicle.
can't use roof lights for driving in PA.
these laws vary from state to state,,,you could call your local police department to see what your area allows.

Thanks. So I guess 42 inches would be the max for me (even though these are actually fog lights).

I will just consider them Auxiliary driving lamps.

I just cant use them with high beams which is ok.

The top bar of my brush bar is about 42 inches and 1/4.

So even though the light comes right up to the top I think I should be ok. I have at least 1/16 of an inch to spare and be legal.
