I'm looking for some ideas on were to mount my brake cobtroler? I'm like 6'3" tall and was thinking down above the gas pedal, but I thought I would see if anyone had a better idea. Thanks!

How about in the glove box or center console?

I thought of the console, but it has to be mount with-in -20 to +70* facing forward. I just hate to hang it under the steering wheel. I may just have too. Thanks

Do you just need to see it or are there controls on it you need to reach?

You really need to mount it where you can reach it. Heres a couple of pics showing where I mounted mine. I am only 5'11 but it works out fine for me. No leg clearance issues at all.

NOTE: 2006 models use a different trailer wiring adapter than previous years! Make sure to get one from Hummer for 2006 models as the pin-outs are different!

Call Peter at Sewell Hummer in Plano Parts Dept and he can explain. He is the one who looked it up for me when I told him the pin-outs were different on the 2006 model.

Had I known at the time, I would have documented the wiring I ended up with. I had to use a meter and tone each wire.

GOod thing you can remove the pins from the connector and put them in their proper place.

Well I have it all installed. I checked all the wires and it must have been the right plug. I ended up with it installed the same place as MSeeb. Thanks guys for the input!

Did you test it towing trailer with brakes? I know that the wire guages are different sizes on the Z-82 wiring adapter for a very good reason. I also know that they are labeled wrong for a 2006 H2.

I had a Chevy 2500HD with the Z-82 harness installed and attached to my brake controller. The harness that came out of my truck is exactly the same one that Hummer sells. When I removed it out of my truck and plugged it into the H2, it did not work. I had to figure it out myself as Hummer did not yet make one for the 2006 H2.

What I had to do was to remove all of the pins out of the connector, tone out each pin under the H2 dash using my meter, then re-install the pins in the proper places. It now works like it suppose to.
