I noticed it when we stopped for gas yesterday, but didn't pay much attention.

The vehicle comes to a halt in tight turns. The tighter the turn, the more resistence I'm getting. It feels pretty weird but doesn't seem to be interfering with the vehicle too much.

Any ideas?

Good question. I think it's worse to turn left than right.

They do appear normal and the truck seems to drive okay when going straight or making slight turns. It only occurs when I am turning tight.

Figure it's okay to drive until it breaks?

I'm betting it's the CV. It's "tightening" up for some reason when you turn tight. Take a quick look at the boots and see if you have any tears. You might have torn one on something and over time water/dirt/grit contaminated it. Or it could just be the bearings going out.

Definately a CV joint issue, if you're out of warranty, take it off and have it rebuilt at a drive train specialist for under $100. It is probably contaminated grease causing the balls to stay in the grooves of the cage.

The warranty will cover it, I'm sure. I will try to get it in to the shop tomorrow.

Adam, you were really struggling to turn your truck while in Moab. Much more than we were when we were aired down.

Get that thing fixed, buddy.
