I'm Liking the rim protection feature
As I was mounting #2 last night, I really noticed how much the bead is recessed to create the rim protection. I like how the bolt heads of my beadlocks are ending up set back nicely. Nice feature to have on a trail tire fo sho!

Wow those look pretty tough. In picture #5 it looks like the Grim Reaper .
Did you build the rim locks yourself? I agree about the overhang, not only is it good protection but it will help with "smear" traction.

LOL! You saw the post on Pirate?
The Beadlocks are Champion's. I bought them from a guy who went to 8 lug 1 ton stuff.
Champion can take any Alum rim and beadlock them. They do very nice work.

Phil, The beadlocks, IE, the rim, the lock, ring, and the 24 grade 8 bolts come in at 23Lbs, the tire is at 73lb's for 96lb's per mounted tire.
I'll have it sitting on the rears tonight, and will measure again. It will be a bit of time before I have the fronts on, I have a long list of items to get the front end ready for wheels, and like most folks with careers, limited time to play with all the toys all the time like Drty does ....... (Wait till that guy gets hooked hehehehe)
Pit Bull has other designs besides the Rockers, and will be producing Radials as well. They may already have some out, I did not check.
My rig is not a DD, but at the same time it's no trailer queen either, I drive it to and from the trails.
I had several conversations with the owner of the company, and what I liked best about him was instead of talking up the tires with a bunch of BS, he said buy a set, and they will do all the talking for him. So what the hell, I went for the new guy on the blocks product.
If they suck, I’ll yell it out load and clear.

Gee Phil, do tell how much they weigh with air in them ................
And yes, horsing large off-road tires and wheels is a joy ......

Cranky, those tires really look rugged. Can't wait to hear what you think of them after running on the trails.
Phil, your SSRs are 142lbs? Damn, and I thought my 37x12.50x17 Iroks were hefty at 122lbs each.
N2, you're right- it does look like the Reaper. Cranky will have to spill some varmint blood on them to exorcise the spirits. I'd say blood of a virgin, but there aren't any in California.
