Anyone who lives around the Dallas metroplex taken their H3 offroading on the trails around Mountain Creek Lake ? If so , how did the H3 perform and what was your opinion of area ? Ive driven by it a few times while at work and thought it would be a good place to off-road. Some of the ruts in the ground look pretty wicked...I meant to go today but got occupied with other things. Any opinions or comments ?

It's located between Dallas and Grand Prairie off Mountain Creek Parkway. The area i was referring to is directly across the street from the Dallas Police Dept pistol range. I was so curious about it that i went with my 7 yr old daughter a few minutes after making the initial inquiry. It was dry since we havent had in rain in weeks but the ruts out there are huge and it made for a pretty rough ride. Twice i thought the H3 would bottom out but it never failed me. I would reccomend going during day light hrs if your not familiar with the area. If you go after a heavy rain in those deeps ruts i guarantee you a serious challenge. While the 4wd on the H3 was never challenged my suspension took a real beating out there. My H3 is stock with 33 inch tires.

There is always a owner of a specific piece of property. I had a first hand experience while riding a dirt bike.
But anyway let me know when you go and I join you guys

OK Fellas...Go southbond on LOOP 12 and it will turn into Spur 408,continue southbound and exit on Ledbetter road and turn west. Upon approaching Ledbetter and Mountain Creek Parkway turn left and you are there. It is across the street from the Dallas Police Dept Pistol Range and Dallas Baptist University and its along side Mountain Creek Lake. I wouldnt make the trip if its a long distance for you until after a heavy rain for you guys looking for a serious challenge. It's supposed to rain this friday on 01-27-06. I hope you guys have fun !!
