I just got my H2 out of shop. They replaced the two front axles and rearend. The problem now is I have about 1-1/2in play in my steering wheel. The alignment shop says everything says
I have probably mushroomed out my steering box.
Has anyone else had this problem. Or does anyone else have play in steering wheel. Would like to hear your comments.

thanks

Mine is like that, too. I took Alec's for a drive today tho, and I am just being paranoid. They both drove the same. Of course, we've been all al the same trails together, done the same damage, so who knows.

I COULDN'T STAND IT ANY MORE AND WENT TO THE DEALER YESTERDAY. THEY ENDED UP REPLACING PITMAN ARM AND STEERING BOX. THE PLAY IN THE STEERING WHEEL IS GONE EXCEPT FOR SMALL NORMAL AMOUNT. I HAVE 24,000 MILES ON MY H2 AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME REPLACKING ALL THIS FRONT STEERING CRAP! THINKING ABOUT GIVING THE H2 TO THE GIRLFRIEND FOR HIGHWAY DRIVING ONLY. I AM TIRED OF GOING TO THE SHOP EVERYTIME I GET BACK FROM THE HILLS.

Angelo

I just read your response about your drivetrain damage on another thread. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Did you ever go off-road before you lifted your H2? If so, did you ever have any damage? I am asking because I am wondering if lifting your H2 had something to do with drivetrain breakage? I hope not because I want to lift mine but am now worried that lifted H2's may not be able to handel the stress that off-roading causes.

Any other lifted H2's having any trouble breaking running gear or suspension parts.

Maybe this subject needs it's own thread.
