service intervals

I'm getting ready to bring in my SUT for its first checkup. Dealership told me every 3000 miles for oil changes with various other things being done. Problem is the other dealership in town says every 7500 miles for service. Dealership one is going to charge $69 for oil change and "fluid check". Dealership two is going to charge $225 for oil change, tire rotation and "fluid check"

So I'm wondering, what is the manufacture's recommendation and what are all of you doing for service? Lastly, how much is everyone paying?

I'm getting the tonneau cover added on this trip after reading the post below. The salesman quoted me $950 (MSRP as an option), the service department said it would be closer to $1400. I told them to hash it out with the salesman. I could have gotten it as an option when I ordered it for $630 since I had a GM certificate. In fact, mine originally came with one (I didn't order it) by mistake and I had them subtract if from the price and they subtracted the $630. They better give it back for no more than the $950. (hopefully)
